Raw Milk Reform
Bill Status: Died on the Senate Floor
This bill would provide small herd exemptions for the distribution of raw milk. The small herd exemption limited producers to 10 cows, 20 goats, and 20 sheep. This exemption required producers to be subject to annual inspections from the department of livestock, and provided that producers properly label their product as Raw Milk. Currently there is no legal avenue for Montanans to obtain raw milk without owning an entire cow.
